WAKHA AND THE POWERFUL KING

Be it in a human form or in the form of a tutelary deity, a King is a King and possesses a considerable amount of powers. It is said that Wakha Lhakhang, between Shaa Ngawa and Nobding, houses a powerful deity King, who wouldn’t allow even Penlop or Desi pass without a mishap should they not dismount from their horses and silence their horses’ bells. Even to this day, locals advice commuters to mute the volumes of car audio until you pass the sight of Wakha.
